Task details and instructions:
Task: Determine whether candidate products can serve as substitutes for
the anchor product.
Imagine you
are searching for a specific product that is currently unavailable. Your goal
is to identify which of the candidate products mentioned in the task can be
purchased as a substitute. To make this determination, carefully consider the
features of the anchor product and compare them with the features of the
candidate products.
We have quality control in this task so
if your answers will not be correct, we will ban you!
Main Steps:
1.
Open a link to view the
anchor product.
2.
Examine the title,
image, and critical attributes of the anchor product.
3.
Open the first link for
a candidate product.
4.
Analyze the title,
image, and critical attributes of the candidate product.
5.
Decide whether the
candidate product can serve as a substitute or not. If there is no image or
description, you still need to decide if it is a substitute. Click on The
product page is not exist button only if the product page really doesn't exist and you see something like this:
If the anchor product page does not exist, just mark all of the
candidates as The product page is not exist
Consider
a candidate product as a substitute if it can be purchased when the anchor
product is out of stock. The candidate product should be of the same type as
the anchor product but may differ in brand, model, color, title, or other details. However, all
critical attributes must be the same!
Examples
of Critical Attributes:
o Volumes and sizes: Typically, volumes and sizes are critical
attributes. For example, if the anchor product is a 500ml bottle and the
candidate product is a 2-liter bottle, they are not substitutes. However, if
the difference is smaller (e.g., 500ml and 750ml), it is your decision to
determine if these products can be considered substitutes.
o Technical attributes: Consider the technical attributes of the
item. For instance, a wrench for size 8 will not be a substitute for a wrench
for size 12.
But the main goal is to decide if you would like to buy a candidate
product instead of an anchor product
